POPLA
Welcome to Popla, a world of weird creatures and ever-changing places!
Your goal is to manage your population according to your mission card.
But beware! You are competing against an opponent who is trying to house all 9 of their population members.
Build new locations and use effect cards. Anything is allowed, as long as you complete your mission.
===============================================================
RULES
Start: Draw 4 cards
Every turn is played in 3 phases:
1. Draw a card from the decks on your right
2. Play as much cards as you'd like
3. Discard cards until you have 7 cards left
Then it's the enemy's turn.
Population Cards: You can only play these on an active Place card with a matching biome. Each Place can hold a maximum of 3 Population cards total (yours and the enemy's combined). You can stack population on top of each other.
Place Cards: You can stack Places that share the same biome, but this does not increase the 3-population limit.
Effect Cards: Place these directly on the card or area they affect.

Really promising game, artwork and design. It was tricky to understand where I could place what cards. Some kind of user feedback to let me know where I can't and can place cards. Because I was guessing most of the times or randomly clicking.
I was also forgetting what phase I was in, sometimes I wanted to place cards while actually I had to draw a card or vice versa.
I read you might improve the game even more and make it a physical version. If you are interested in more feedback, we could hop into a discord voice call. Would love to help out. 😄
Just wanted to say this is an amazing game! The art and sound design are fantastic. Like others have mentioned, I struggled a bit at first, but about halfway through my first match it really started to click and became a lot of fun. So far, this is my favorite game that’s been entered, and I’d love to see it turn into a full release!
Thank you <3 Good to hear, that when it clicked you had fun :)
Cute graphics and UI. I kinda managed to figure out the game and win a round, but still kinda confused on how it works haha. A more in-depth tutorial would help a lot here
Really nice aesthetics and sound.
I was just confused what to do
It looks super cool, charming aesthetic and music but I had trouble figuring out what to do / how cards work / where to place them, a tutorial would have been really nice !
Thanks for playing and the feedback, we added some instructions on the game page. Any feedback about the game is welcome since we might make it into a physical game for us and our friends.
you're really did it in a week??
yes, sleep is not in the room with us
